Premises Licensing Courses

Licensing courses offered in association with British Institute on Innkeepers Awarding Body. the personal License Holders Certificate is most recognised qualification in the field.

BIIAB - National Certificate for Designated License Holders (QCA2 Accredited)

You already hold the NCPLH or equivalent and the course will provide you with an understanding of your role and responsibilities under the Licensing Act 2003. It will also help you address the day-to-day issues involved in running a licensed premise.

The course covers;

The Roles and responsibilities of the DPS
The licensable activities carried out on a licensed premises
The requirements of legislation and best practice to support the four licensing objectives
Hoe to conduct risk assessments and how it is used to underpin the operating schedule
The relationship between the operating schedule and management controls

In addition to the tuition you will receive a CD ROM "BIIAB Licensed Premises Operations Review Tool" which is included with the handbook. This will enable you to assess existing policies in licensed premises and suggest ways in which such policies can support the four licensing objectives. It also allows you to produce a record of these policies which may be saved and printed.

The course is designed to be taken in one day, with approximately 5 hours of tuition; followed by an examination.
