BIIAB - National Certificate for Personal License Holders (QCA2 Accredited)

Designers for anyone who wishes to work in licensed premises or sites where alcohol is being sold for consumption on or off the premises and where their duties will be to authorise the sale of alcohol to the public.

The qualification covers all aspects of dispense and sale of alcohol and will enable candidates to understand the law in relation to;

Roles and responsibilities of the licensing authorities
Application process for a Personal Licence
Role and legal responsibilities of the PLH and possible penalties for infringement of law
The Premises Licence. Operating schedules, Temporary Event Notices
Role and duties of the Designated Premises Supervisor
Unauthorised licensable activities and permitted temporary licensable activities
Rights of entry to licensed premises
Police powers with regards to suspension and closure of licensed premises
The specific prohibitions for the sale of alcohol
The protection of children from harm and responsible sale of alcohol
The strengths of alcohol drinks, and the effects of alcohol on the human body

The course is designed to be taken in one day, with approximately 5 hours of tuition; followed by a multiple choice examination.
