First Aid at Work Courses

Offered in association with the Health and Safety Executive, there are a variety of courses available.

Paediatric First Aid
A 12 hour course which focuses on dealing wit sick or injured children. Exceeding the syllabus requirements of OFSTED, the Pre-School Learning Alliance and the National Child Minding Association, this course also covers the prescribed training requires for the Appointed Person as required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

CRP Workshop
This half day workshop provides updated to the CPR protocols and an intensive hands on session to refresh CPR skills.
Appointed Persons Certificate (Emergency First Aid)
A one day emergency first aid course covering the duties of the Appointed Person, what to so in an emergency and basic life support skills. The certificate issued is the minimum qualification required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Defibrillation Course (AED)
This is a one day course which covers all aspects of using a defibrillator. Continuous Assessment by the trainer occurs throughout the course.

Treatment of an unconscious casualty
Resuscitation
Heart Attacks
Operating the AED

Re qualification for this is required every six months
